Gru lab welcomes prospective and current graduate students who are interested in learning and implementing spectroscopic instrument development, laser techniques, molecular beams, spectroscopic data fitting, and computational modeling to investigate astrochemical species and study reaction kinetics in hard to mimic environments.
What can you gain?
- Graduate students in the Gru Lab are well prepared to work in a dynamic environment with skills not only in chemistry, but in engineering and physics making yourself a competitive candidate in whatever your future goals entail
- Graduates of the Gru Lab have gone on to pursue a doctorate in chemistry apart of various spectroscopy groups
- ample experience giving scientific presentations in both low stake environments and larger professional settings
- hands-on instrumentation experience on our home-built spectrometer and operating our laser systems
- mentor eager undergraduate students
