2023<\/strong> \u2014<\/strong> Dr. Vasel received the 2023 Brown Henderson Outstanding Engineering Faculty Award. The award is primarily to recognize an outstanding faculty member their contributions in the areas of teaching, research and service, and particularly, how such accomplishments improve the preparation of our graduates for their careers beyond Tennessee Tech. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2022<\/strong> \u2014<\/strong> Dr. Vasel received 2022 Wings-Up 100 Award! This award recognizes honored faculty members on campus who brought in at least $100,000 in external funding for research in the previous academic year. At this year\u2019s Wings Up 100 awards on the lawn of Walton Park, President Phil Oldham and members of the Board of Trustees honored 36 faculty members who, combined, had secured $17,944,988 for Tech student research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2022 \u2014 <\/strong> Reza Nouri wins the Best Mechanical Engineering Ph.D. Student Poster Award on TN Tech\u2019s Research and Creative Inquiry Day! Reza won this very same award in 2021! <\/p>\n\n\n

2021 \u2014<\/strong> ASME Student Chapter at Tennessee Tech University awarded Dr. Vasel as Distinguished Researcher<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2021 \u2014 <\/strong>Reza Nouri received The 2021 Eminence Award<\/strong> for The Doctor of Philosophy Best Paper! The Eminence Awards Ceremony was created to recognize outstanding students for superior accomplishments throughout the academic year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2021<\/strong> \u2014 <\/strong>Taylor McCarty received a $4,000 Creative Inquiry Summer Experience (CISE) Grant <\/strong>to research multiphase flows at FMRL!<\/p>\n\n\n
