{"id":75,"date":"2016-05-13T18:36:59","date_gmt":"2016-05-13T18:36:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.tntech.edu\/aaup\/?p=75"},"modified":"2016-05-13T18:36:59","modified_gmt":"2016-05-13T18:36:59","slug":"survey-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.tntech.edu\/aaup\/2016\/05\/13\/survey-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Survey report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Below is the body of message sent to TTU President Phil Oldham by TTU-AAUP Chapter President Julia Gruber, re: the recent satisfaction survey conducted by TTU-AAUP.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>President Oldham:<\/p>\n<p>As announced, this report summarizes the results of the survey undertaken by the TTU-AAUP in order to ascertain TTU faculty opinion regarding the general condition of the university and administrative policy.\u00a0 The number of respondents was 149.\u00a0 Given that the faculty distribution list provided by the university to disseminate the survey contained approximately 435 individuals, this number was used to determine the response rate of 34%.\u00a0 Along with this report we are submitting a set of copies of the 149 surveys returned by respondents.\u00a0 In the case of the questions, a \u2018no response\u2019 was not used in calculating the reported percentage share.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0Would you say that the university is better off than it was a year ago, or is it worse off?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Better off: 8 or 5%<\/p>\n<p>Worse off: 117 or 79%<\/p>\n<p>About the same: 13 or 9%<\/p>\n<p>Not sure\/no opinion: 10 or 7%<\/p>\n<p>No response: 1<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0What about your department or college?\u00a0 Would you say that your department or college is better or worse off than it was a year ago?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Better off: 15 or 10%<\/p>\n<p>Worse off: 98 or 66%<\/p>\n<p>About the same\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 33 or 22%<\/p>\n<p>Not sure\/no opinion: 2 or !%<\/p>\n<p>No response: 1<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0How about your students?
